Canadian Giftware rep locator Atlanta, september 12-15 2003

The Canadian Consulate General is pleased to announce its next "Giftware Rep Locator". The program's goal is to help secure sales agents and representation for Canadian giftware and furnishings manufacturers and production craftspeople seeking to sell to the Southeast USA including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. This event will take place on September 12-15, 2003 during the "Atlanta Fall Gift & Accessories Market and Atlanta Gourmet Show" in the Gift Mart building.

AmericasMart-Atlanta encompasses the Gift Mart, Merchandise Mart and Apparel Mart buildings. It is the nation's largest gift and home furnishings wholesale marketplace with its 4.2 million square feet. Its shows are held each January, March, July and September. Buyers have quick and convenient access to more products from more sources in more depth and variety than any market, anywhere. Our Giftware Rep Locator is a 3-day educational and networking program open only to fully export ready firms that have taken the time to register in our WIN Exports Database at http://www.infoexport.gc.ca and include their comprehensive corporate profiles.

DAY 1 (FRI)

We will begin on Friday, September 12th, at 8:00 am at the Canadian Consulate General with continental breakfast following by a half day seminar featuring giftware and home furnishings industry experts covering topics relevant to the SEUSA market. In the afternoon, you will spend an hour and a half touring the Gift Mart Building.

You will tour the AmericasMart on Saturday afternoon, September 13th to see showrooms and meet with sales reps who may have expressed interest in your products, and to meet with our team to discuss ideas and pose questions. (We will send you well before September the July 2003 AmericasMart show's Buyers Guide. And you will have examined this comprehensive directory and decided which of the 441 plus showrooms carry your type(s) of product(s), so that you can target these accounts.

DAY 3 (SUN)

Canadian Product Showcase : 09:00/15:00

You will arrange your tabletop displays for Sunday Canadian Product Showcase from 9:00 AM to 15:00 PM, September 14th, to meet with potential AmericasMart based sales reps during an informal "drop in" Brunch hosted by the Canadian Consulate General. Those are the same persons with whom you will have talked on Saturday and invited to see your tabletop display.

DAY 4 (MON)

This day is optional

We strongly suggest that you spend one more day in Atlanta to discuss further with sales reps that will have expressed interest in meeting your business objectives.

NOTE: To generate strong interest and draw these persons to your tabletop displays, we are sending targeted invitations. As such, we must emphasize that we cannot guarantee attendance by AmericasMart showroom owners and sales reps. To build momentum, we will be visiting those sales reps personally.

The participation fee for our Giftware Rep Locator is $150US per company. Companies must confirm their participation by fax (404) 532-2050 on their letterhead along with their updated company profile to the program's Atlanta contact, Sylvie Racine by July 7th. Participants are responsible for their transportation, lodging, and personal expenses. The total fee must be paid to this Consulate General in Atlanta by cashier's check or money order (not company check) by July 16th at the following address:
